original bug. Please open a new bug report, and show the output of the

synaptics touchpad triggers hi
Steve,
I guess the bug is back.
I'm having a very weird issue with a Dell Inspiron 1501 running Ubuntu
9.10 and kernel 2.6.31-14. The system goes into hibernation every time I
plug AC power.
The kernel reports the following before starting hibernation:
[79713.388785] atkbd.c: Unknown key presse
In current releases of Ubuntu there is a standard keymap in place on all
models, where 0xef maps to the 'macro' keycode. So I don't believe this
problem is still present. If you're still seeing this problem in Ubuntu
9.10 beta, please reopen and provide up-to-date information, as the
information
when i enable or disable the touchpad on my HP Pavilion dv6449us, it
opens up the Ubuntu Help.
Anyone care to look into it?
it doesn't bother me much, i just find it annoying.
