OK, I figured out the exact problem. The directory of the partition
changes by itself, i.e. /dev/sda6 to /dev/sdf6. This causes me to lose
music in Rhythmbox (I share my iTunes library). It's annoying as heck.

Mine automounted fine after upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04, however due to
a very long list of startup issues, once I managed to download and burn
8.04 I installed it over 7.10 (lost some bits, but sorted out the
startup). Now I have to click and mount my XP and Storage volumes
(NTFS).
After followin
