I'm having a similar problem. Thunderbird crashes when an alarm from the
calendar goes off.

I have the same problem but quite diferent, with this verions of the
programs:
Ubuntu 7.10
Lightning 0.8 (build 2008033118)
Provider for Google Calendar 0.8
The problem problem described before but only happens when I change one
element in Google Calendar.
