I don't use Amarok anymore, nor do I have access to the machine I was

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and
your problem may have been fix
I have verified that Amarok still grabs a number of keys globally.
(They're all Meta keys, but still...) I've only used it for a few
minutes, so I'm not sure whether the "keypress stackup" problem still
exists.
I'm running an updated Ubuntu Jaunty.
