I don't think it's an Ubuntu bug. Either:
1) FlashGot needs WINE to function and that's why WINE launches, in which case
the makers of FlashGot need to recompile their software, or;
2) Firefox is triggering WINE when it doesn't need to (because Firefox is
running the code itself), or;

The wine error messages on the terminal is reported in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/114025 and is reportedly fixed in 0.9.60
and later. It has also been logged with
http://wiki.winehq.org/PreloaderPageZeroProblem. You may want to check
these if you want to follow it up.
Regarding your old fire
Okay, I imported my bookmarks into a new profile and I installed the
newest wine version from winehq.
Now the problem is solved for me, but if you still have any interest in this
bug, I would be glad to give you any information you need to debug this. I
still have the old damaged profile directo
You can export your bookmarks while using the old profile, then import
them to the new one. As for errors when you run winecfg, you should use
the latest from wine repo which is 0.9.61. Follow the instructions in
the link: http://www.winehq.org/site/download-deb.
Cheers!

Firefox start trigge
I'm sorry that I didn't give you the information needed, but I don't
know what could be helpful :(
After renaming ~/.mozilla the wine desktop didn't appear, and the
Firefox window appeared just as it should do. So it did on another
(newly created) user account.
There are no files in /var/crash.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include
enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs
