I have been using Intrepid with Firefox 3.0 and Prism without a problem.
Whatever caused this bug seems to have been squashed in Intrepid.

I found the following problem:
Running Firefox 3 with about a bunch of tabs loaded on KUbunru 8.04.1, Compiz.
I experience quite low performance, specially when writing within textfileds
and using Yahoo mail and Google Reader, the browser will go gray ans stall for
about a minute or so. But the w
Brad, do you have Prism installed? That's what was causing my problem.
Disabling it allowed Firefox to save files without crashing.

I'm encountering this, as well, but just saving an image anywhere. The
images /is/ successfully saved, but Firefox segfaults immediately
thereafter. I'm on Hardy amd64 with the most current version of Firefox
available in the repos as of this writing.
