yes, the player was plugged in at the time of the original lshal
generation. i have upgraded to 8.10 couple of days ago, and now it seems
to be able to detect the player by the name, but it still does not
appear in Rhythmbox as an MTPplayer (plugin is enabled)

The attached lshal.txt does not have any music player that I can see.
When you generated it, are you sure that you had the music player
plugged in? If not, please do and do "lshal > /tmp/lshal.txt" and attach
/tmp/lshal.txt here.

i see. when i saw that the system picke dup the stick, but rhythmbox did
not i assumed it was the latter.
