Thanks for the logs. It looks like there are diskspace issues on /boot
that caused the problem:

I looked at my Linux partitions using Disk Director in Windows XP and
noted that the swap file is 1.9 gb, one EXT3 partition has 41 of its 47
mb capacity filled, the other EXT3 parition has only 7.1 gb of a total
of 53 gb filled. The small 47 mb EXT3 partition looks to be the problem.

When I try to access Synaptic Package I get this error: E: dpkg was
