I also have the same problem, I use Kubuntu 8.04 on Core2Duo E7200,
GeForce 7300GT. The crash happens from time to time (at least once a
day), in various circumstances - I can't find any rule for this.

I have noticed this problem with Quadro cards. It looks like the UBB
(unified back buffer) of Quadro cards conflicts with the Composite
extension.

and why it breaks qGo?

This bug is completely repeatable for me, everytime I run qGo and try to
observe a new game Xorg crashes immediately.
