Moving this bug forward to target the actively developed linux kernel package. Beginning with the Intrepid development cycle the linux- ubuntu-modules was merged with the linux kernel package. I don't see the panasonic driver to be in the Intrepid kernel source so it's likely this will be resolve

There is currently a updated panasonic driver that is about to be accepted for inclusion in the kernel tree which is based upon the lately ill maintained pcc-acpi.
