So it turns out in the daily build 20081017, the tilt wheel works, but... the
directions are reversed :D
So when I move it to the left, it actually scrolls to the right and when I do
it to the right, it scrolls to the left, which is kind of annoying :P hope you

The above didn't work at least not in firefox or openoffice. I have 2 files btw
/dev/input/by-id/usb-Logitech_USB-PS.2_Optical_Mouse-event-mouse and
/dev/input/by-id/usb-Logitech_USB-PS.2_Optical_Mouse-mouse
I did restart and I'm sure I edited the xorg.conf right, would I have to enable

I'm not sure if this is really a bug. But if it is, it can be fixed by
switching the Mouse driver to evdev.
This should be as simple as replacing your current mouse section in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf with:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
