This seems to have been fixed with the last oocalc update, as I can no
longer reproduce this.

enter and voila - calc hangs.

Same for me.
Work around is to leave selected cell with tab or cursor key before saving the
file.
Also I try to avoid using the return key to get my work done.

According to that bug report
exiting openoffice, deleting
$HOME/.openoffice.org2/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml and
restarting openoffice solves the hangs and crashes.
