I re-ran the experiment and attached the session file from
~/.metacity/sessions. I do not have a ~/.config/metacity.
In this experiment, I also had Evolution and Firefox running, and they
did not get restored to the proper positions. Interestingly, pidgin did
get restored properly.
One more piece
Sorry, thought error.
In those two directories there will be many files with the extension
".ms". What I would like you to do is to find the one that has the
timestamp... etc.
