I feel your pain too - but demanding someone fix it is not the way
forward - infact it has already been fixed in Firefox upstream and we
are just waiting for this

I'm getting the same issue here, when I click on the green check mark it's not
opening the panel, and when I open it in a new window, I get errors when I try
to run javascript in the console. Here is some output from the separate
window, I think it has something to do with Firefox's security ma

I did a reinstall of xubuntu beta today to try and resolve this -
firebug worked out of the box after the reinstall - until the apt-get
update/upgrade completed - now it doesnt work !!
What info can I give you to help you debug this problem

I have this problem too, just since updating today. I am using the
firebug 1.1.0~b12 from the getfirebug website which leads me to believe
the issue is not actually firebug.
