I too have noticed this. I've also had problems talking via Twinkle and trying to use a sound-server. I *much* prefer PulseAudio, (especially for the ability to switch streams to another output; frickin' awesome/helpful) but Twinkle seems to want direct access to the hardware. I'm not sure where
