Ubuntu 8.04 beta:
All numeric hostname (such as 084202074190) is not a problem anymore.

However, sudo outputs an error message if the hostname and the localhost
value in /etc/hosts do not match.
You can easily test it:
0) Start couple of gnome-terminal windows and become a root or sudo user
I do not know, but I can check it with Ubuntu 8.04 beta installation.
I will report you the results briefly.
