I have the same issue with the AGP version of this card (black screen
and system hang). radeonhd does work just fine (of course no 2d or 3d
acceleration) , in fact that's about the only driver that even 1/2 way
works! But I am actually able to load X if I blacklist the blacklist
amd64_agp and ag
radeonhd works :-)
Does this counts as a fix?

Installing the driver from the amd site results in the same bug.
Next stop: radeonhd. Looks like the git version has support for dual
link DVI :-)
