Thank you for reporting this bug. tsclient has been removed from the
Ubuntu 11.10 archives. The software has not had a new release in years
and was no longer being maintained. Unfortunately that means this bug
won't be fixed.

It seems I cannot easily test 9.10 to 9.10 since the configuration of
the XDMCP has been removed from Login Screen configuration. I have not
been able to find a corresponding report but 408417 is related.
Anyway I can confirm that the keyboard configuration of the 9.10
tsclient also does not effe
I have not yet followed the instructions wrt xdomap.
I'm trying to connect from 9.04 to 9.04 via XDMCP.
Both computers have de_AT.utf8 default locale.
Changing the key board layout has makes no difference.
When I type 'z' in the Xnest window, it receives 'y'.
I have no experience with the X/tsclie
This still happens in Fedora 11, which uses tsclient 2.

I can confirm this bug also for my Xubuntu 8.10. I connect to WinXP and
type username(in russian) in TSC before connecting and user name became
like \320\120\11\... and as result it is rejected by WinXP login
window.

I can confirm this bug.
I tried to connect to a Windows XP box with RDP & RDPv5, running on
hardy with latest patches (2008-10-29).
1. Typing a scandinavian character such as "ä" appears as "a'" inside a session
(a and ').
2. Pretyping a scandinavian character into the username box *before* conn
correction
use:
sudo xmodmap /etc/SwapCapsCtrl.kmap

I'm using Hardy beta.
Do NOT use gnome's keyboard control (Ubuntu System > Preferences > Keyboard >
Layout Options).
