I guess this was an isolated issue with your own configuration, since you could
fix it easily with a reinstall.
Therefore I'll close this report as 'invalid' since no actual fix to the
package was required.

Ok, I just verified on a clean install, and it seems to have returned
somehow.
Previously it wasn't there in any of my menu sections to select even
though it was installed, but I think with the upgrade of OpenOffice this
got fixed.

OK, I think I narrowed it down. The openoffice.org-math package does install
the following .desktop file:
/usr/share/applications/ooo-math.desktop
Which has NoDisplay=true set. That mean that it is hidden by default. It should
be possible to enable it using the Menu Editor within the Office categ
Yes I did. I also checked the menu editor to see if maybe there was an
entry there and just not activated, but it wasn't there either.

Have you checked the other categories? I recall that Math is installed into a
different category than all other OpenOffice.org applications.
