Hello Heitor,
You raise a fair point. I've re-run the checks for 19.2.1 using proposed
instead of my PPA. The results for Noble can be seen here:

Hi Luciano,
I've noticed that the verification for Oracular has been done against

hello Heitor,
yes, indeed that patch isn't needed for the regression fix. Just so you don't
have to fiddle with it, I've re-uploaded a PPA that removes the
patch-out-exporter.patch file in addition to the modifications to the
snapshot-upgrade-fix.patch file:

Thanks, Luciano! I've grabbed the relevant patch, and sponsored the

Thanks for the follow-up, Luciano!
Just to make sure: only the changes in `snapshot-upgrade-fix.patch` are

I've re-uploaded the PPA for noble:

No, before it was:

My assumption is that the symbols mapping that the ceph package has is not well

FYI I do not know how symbols are handled in ceph, but this made anything using
ceph/librbd as build dependencies to hard depend on this SRU too due to shlibs
detecting it that way.
See [1] for an example of that.

Hello Andreas,

> Why would you not have charms for oracular?
We (as in the Ceph team) never got around to it. This isn't restricted
to Ceph, however, as many charms that we rely on to do extensive testing
also do not support Oracular. For example, we use the Ubuntu charm for
the Ceph-FS tests,
Ok, two things.
a) Regarding "we don't currently have released the charms for oracular".
Oracular is a perfectly normal ubuntu release, supported until its EOL
date. Why would you not have charms for oracular? Are you claiming that
the openstack team does not support oracular?

Regarding noble: The Ceph team found out that there was an issue with

Hello, and sorry about the delay.
Testing the charms for oracular is complicated given the fact that we
don't currently have released the charms for oracular. In addition, even
if we built them manually, there are support charms that don't currently
support oracular (i.e: hacluster for ceph-nfs).
Hello Ponnuvel, or anyone else affected,

Thanks for the clarification, Luciano! I've adjusted the versions, and
uploaded builds to a test PPA at [0]. I've also ran autopkgtests against
those builds, and things look good on that front. Let's tackle the
Oracular/Noble versions now, and we can look into UCA once those hit

Hello Heitor,
That patch is not needed in Oracular. The reason it's needed in Noble is
that there exists a version in Noble that was based off a git checkpoint
before 19.2.0 was released, and that version exhibits the bug you
pointed out when upgrading from this checkpoint into 19.2.0. Both
