You still haven't specified the problem. My laptop has the same chip and
it works. Mesa provides the opengl libraries and driver for the intel
driver and others.
Not a bug.

X3100 out of Blacklist, but
I have an intel 965, X3100.
Synaptic Claims intel xorg installed, but glxinfo shows that I am with mesa.
If I try to change it, even with Screen and Graphics, It comes back to mesa.
That's the problem users with laptops with X3100 integrated have.
