Sorry for the confusion. I’m Rick from the Fibocom R&D team, and I’d
like to clarify the matter.
The “service” mentioned here refers to an internal service within
libmbim, not to a “.service” file managed by systemd. Libmbim defines
various MBIM services according to the MBIM specificat

It is very unclear here what you mean by 'service'. From this
description I would have expected to see the addition of a systemd
service unit to the package, but there is none. The changelog is
inadequate for an SRU to explain to users what is being done.
A debdiff is attached for jammy, but there is a task still open for the
devel series. What is the status of this in later releases?
