@jjohansen thanks for the quick response
after applying proposed change the issue sustains
following I get if I run sudo dmesg | grep apparmor | grep tor
`[ 9747.054150] audit: type=1400 audit(1714089499.228:780): apparmor="STATUS"
operation="profile_replace" profile="unconfined" name="torbrows
Unless there are other denials, this is not related to bug #2046844
Try adding the following rule to the torbrowser_firefox profile
allow rw /run/dbus/system_bus_socket,
and then reloading it with either
sudo systemctl reload apparmor
or by using
sudo apparmor_parser -r /path/to/torbrowse
using
sudo dmesg | grep apparmor
i found:
audit: type=1400 audit(1714086422.326:773): apparmor="DENIED"
operation="connect" class="file" profile="torbrowser_firefox"
name="/run/dbus/system_bus_socket" pid=24854 comm=57656220436F6E74656E74
requested_mask="wr" denied_mask="wr" fsuid=1001 ouid=0
-
reassign to proper ubuntu package as it is not really an apparmor bug
** Project changed: apparmor => torbrowser-launcher (Ubuntu)
