I fix the problem besides the Ubuntu 8.04 does not installed linux- ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-12-386, there is a comflict with video drivers devise, I just deleted all the files with VDR. 8.04 after 8 hours of working will stop and try to restart VDR and look for the plugging. -- Un expected shotdown
