not sure how those kde themes are working but having those installed is
enough to create such crashes, the capplet displays all the themes
installed

Yes, I have gtk-qt-engine-kde4 installed, but also while still having it
installed, I cannot reproduce it.
My guess is that using gtk-qt-engine-kde4 somehow triggers those crashes in
g-a-p, given some circumstances.
(It wasn't my first report of this.)
