Same problem as jim brown, I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex (alpha).
Each time I change some parameter using network manager, every instance
of my machine's name, "siva", in /etc/hosts gets replaced by
"siva.private", "private" being the domain name indicated in the
"General" tab.
Deleting the doma
Hi still have the issue if I enter a domain for my network. I agree with
time that the work around in my previous comment is not a fix.
