Hi, i've reported it upstream.. Please take into account that i don't
really believe that this is a real bug, maybe a wishlist.
But let's wait what upstream should say about it and you the reporters

Hi xens, thanks for your info.
Would it be possible for you to provide the output from cheese -vv and
form ekiga -d 5 ?
I've made some tests and well, there's a short delay in cheese but none
in ekiga... but i'm not sure if this is a real issue. Anyway let's get
the data so i can marked it as

Andres, thank you for following this bug :)
The problem is the same in Intrepid except for one thing:
In hardy the led used to blink 6 seconds and then another 6 seconds then
the image appeared, with Intrepid it blinks 3 seconds and another 3
seconds then the image appears. I tried with ekiga 3.0

sorry if i missed something obvious. but how did you get the cam to produce the
error in the first place? if i plug in the cam on Hardy only the mic in
recognized...

Hi, thanks for your report, is it possible for you to test if this bug
still exists with fully updated Intrepid? If it is still an issue can
you send as separate attachments the output for the following files?
uname -a > uname-a.log
cat /proc/version_signature > proc_version_signature.log
sudo
It works only, if no other application operates with the camera. Make it
work though many programms demands the camera.

detect any Webcam.
