It seems that there is a mistake in the config of checkgmail. It doesn't
work if I check Labels with space characters in their name, for example
it starts when ckecking the labels "work" and "friends" but not when
checking "friends at work". I renamed my labels at googlemail, now it
works. I use sp

The dependencies should get installed now, however one of the dependencies
(recommendation really) (libsexy) is still not in the repository. However that
is already filed as another bug.
Also the current version works out of the box, also without that

A quick update on this bug... As of Intrepid, Ubuntu will install
Recommended packages by default. So both packages, libcrypt-simple-perl
and libsexymm2, are now installed with checkgmail.
How ever, the perl bindings for libsexymm2 are still missing from the
Ubuntu archive. ( see: Bug 151226) Thi
Thanks for handling all the duplicates of this! I have noticed after
more observation (and patience) that it works in Hardy, it just takes a
rather long time to start up the first time or two, and is certainly not
quick to start up afterwards. However it SEEMS functionally fine.

For the record this is happening with what appears to be the latest
checkgmail, 1.13-1ubuntu1. This latest version does not even run, and
exits with:

I can't for the life of my figure out what I need to get this to work. I
appear to have everything listed at

probably be Medium or High importance since I imagine almost anyone who
