@ Steve
Thanks for clearing that up... If i had known earlier , i would have opened a

Oscar, I'm closing this bug as invalid because your original bug report
does not actually describe what problems you are having with the keys.
If there are keys that aren't working for you in Ubuntu 9.04 or karmic,
please detail which keys they are, and follow the directions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.
i checked here too , but i dont see any listing for the multimedia keys...
~$ hal-find-by-capability --capability input | xargs -n1 lshal -u

i checked the hotkey troubleshooter, this is the result of my xev for
the keys that dont work
:~$ xev | sed -n 's/^.*state \([0-9].*\), keycode *\([0-9]\+\) *\(.*\),
.*$/keycode \2 = \3, state = \1/p'
keycode 36 = (keysym 0xff0d, Return), state = 0x0
keycode 172 = (keysym 0x1008ff14, XF86AudioPla
Not really an xkeyboard-config issue; more of a hotkey problem.

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log
file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to
your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
