Shutdown hangs on ethernet ports in Dell Inspiron E1505
Hello Béné,
I'm can't say for sure. I actually purchased a new computer in early
April which I put Hardy on (still in Beta at the time). The new computer
is a Dell M1330 (also a laptop) and it has not had that problem with
8.04 and has been working wonderfully for so far running Ubuntu.
As for th
Hi!
I was experiencing exactly the same bug as you, Broderick. I too have an
Inspiron E1505. With the upgrade to Hardy the problem silently went away
though. (And a number of others popped up, but that's an entirely
different story...) How about you, Broderick?

Shutdown hangs on ethernet port
Hi James,
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.22/+bug/94161
Above is a bug that I originally thought might be a duplicate of my
problem. However there seems to be allot of coverage on it in the
comments at least, and not in a network-oriented direction as far as I
can tell.
Hi,
Thanks for the thorough bug report.
I have a similar machine, so hope to test this soon.
You mention that you saw a similar bug report? Could
you give a pointer to that report so that we can see if they
are the same issue?
Thanks,
James
