I get these errors when running Xdialog. However, the program seems to
run fine; it's just annoying to get irrelevant error messages.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ Xdialog --msgbox "Hello" 7 20
Gtk-WARNING (recursed) **: Failed to load module "libgail.so":
libgail.so: cannot open shared object file: No su
I got stuff similar to TJ, I'm running on Intrepid now though
$ strace -o strace.log gnutalk strace -o strace.log gnutalk
$ grep 'libgail' strace.log
open("/lib/tls/i686/sse2/cmov/libgail.so", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file
or directory)
open("/lib/tls/i686/sse2/libgail.so", O_RDONLY) = -1
Run the program from a terminal and use strace to capture all file
access:
$ strace -o strace.log gnutalk
Close it, then search the strace log for the access to libgail:
$ grep 'libgail' strace.log
You'll see something like this:
