Hi,
If you change the assignee to yourself it means that you intend to
fix the bug, is that the case?
Some extra things that may be useful in debugging this issue are,
after a failed login attempt the contents of
* /var/log/Xorg.0.log
* ~/.xsession-errors
* /var/log/gdm/:0.log

Do you mean that your password is not accepted, or that
it is accepted and you start to login, and then you are presented
the login screen again?
