Hello, it looks like the new version is available for Impish now but I
have not seen signs for backports to other versions. This release
addresses multiple CVEs so it would be great to have the packages
available in supported versions of Ubuntu. Are there any updates on the
availability?

I don't know if it was a coincidence or direct response, but I see that
impish-proposed now has version 8u302-b08-0ubuntu2 [1]. Though it has
been packaged, it hasn't yet migrated to the release archive, looks like
it is currently blocked by some issues with newer glibc packa
