@Christopher as far as I understand the fix happened in ubiquity
installer, so it will only take effect on fresh installation (which is
fine given that this is during beta). See the comments under

@Luna what was the fix, can you link to the respective change? I'm still
seeing the problem with up-to-date 21.04 (and there were no updates
reported for zfs-linux; was it actually released)?
The tentative fix for snapd hasn't been commited yet in snapd; if the
problem was fixed elsewhere then we

somehow i was expecting the snap mount units to start after local-
fs.target, and for zfs.target to complete by then. But it looks like
that's not how things are ordered unfortunately.

@Colin After=.. only defines ordering but it's a loose coupling and has

I'm still trying to figure out where/why/how this is a ZFS issue, but
looking at the workaround I think it's a good way forward.
The new line added "After=zfs-mount.service" - how does this affect
things if ZFS is not installed?

This looks a lot like an issue with zfs-linux to me (and *maybe*
systemd, not sure about this).
The issue is that the snaps are on /var/lib/snapd/snaps and snapd writes
mount units into /etc/systemd/system/ so that the snaps are mounted
under /snap//.
Looking at a zfs-linux system and the "mount"

I can also confirm the workaround posted (#7) by Christopher worked i
Additionally, while the workaround let's me launch snaps, the super-

I had this same issue on my first attempt to install 21.04 where I
couldn't install any snaps or open Ubuntu Software. I found that if i
