Can you still reproduce this issue? If so does this happen on any
document or only certain types? Can you attach a document where you see
this problem? Also can you test to see if Ubuntu hardy OpenOffice.org
1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3 resolves your problem? I can't reproduce the
problem on my

If I copy a text or paragraph from the same writer-document, and then
paste will be only the first five characters copied, and the rest is

have that handy atm. I cannot reproduce the bug on any of my
workstations so this is indeed a very strange bug and only seems to
affect the laptop so far.

I should note that the openoffice.org I am using on gutsy is
1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3 from gutsy-updates. If you aren't running that
version you should upgrade to it since it fixes a lot of bugs.

I can't reproduce a lock up on Ubuntu 7.10 with OpenOffice 2.3.0 either.
Does this happen on all documents for you or just certain ones of
certain types?
