Francisco: the "diversion" is the giveaway. "oem-release" is a package that
will lock the release number to the original (oem installed) version number. I
don't know why - but I found out yesterday, one of my customers upgraded his
Dell 20.04 to 21.04, only to end up with a recurring "21.04 is a
[Expired for ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) because there has been no
activity for 60 days.]

What are the contents of /etc/lsb-release? Could you also provide the

Yes, there is indeed. This is what I have in that file and the /etc
folder and relating to release as well:
fran@fran-xps:/etc $ ll | grep lsb
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 133 ene 14 23:23 lsb-release
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 104 ene 27 10:38 lsb-rele
Your upgrade log indicates that there is a /etc/lsb-release.oem-release
file. Are there any other lsb-release files in /etc? Thanks in advance!
