Appending "i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs" to boot parameters worked for the
touchpad issue on the Lenovo V14-IIL .
Following are the steps I've followed:
1.) Open the file /etc/default/grub for editing, for example by running
sudoedit /etc/default/grub
2.) Add to the line beginning GRUB_CMDLINE_LI
Note: I do not think a BIOS update will help with this issue, but I
recommend you run anyway:
