This does appear to fix the web export issue. Probably not due to the
dropped deps, but more due to this being a no-change rebuild against an
updated library that wasn't caught prior to Groovy's release.

Accepted darktable into groovy-proposed. The package will build now and
be available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/darktable/3.2.1-3~ubuntu0.20.10.1
in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
Please help us by testing this new package. S
