debian merged https://salsa.debian.org/mutt-team/mutt/-/merge_requests/7 to enable autocrypt in mutt by default. by the time new sources (mutt 2.2.14) are uploaded and/or a new release is built, this will take effect and ubuntu inherit at least for 25.10 'questing' on next import. tangentially,
