I have Gnome and Ubuntu 8.04.1, apport enabled.
When cutting/joining scenes, kino crash and NOTHING appears in /var/crash.
I tried to run apport-gtk on kino, and it started to collect data while kino
was running (???)
The I tried to reproduce the bug put it did'nt happen. But while quitting kino,
Is this the same in hardy?
Does it create a .crash file?
Could one of you try this and report a new bug through apport?

Hi!
I was facing the same problem and after lots of investigating just found that
turning of "Assistive Technology Manager" solves the problem!!!
Just try to to turn off System -> Preferences -> Universal Access -> Assistive
Technology Manager, may be it's your problem too.

Doing some basic web research on this, I came across the following:

The reason it is interesting is because Kino installs its own segv
handler, and this problem started appearing recently. Are you running a
GNOME 2.20 desktop?

in fact, this is more probably a gnome or gtk problem. If run kino in a
new linux account, I have not problem ; if I use my heavy loaded account
with many user-settings from gnome and gtk, I have the problem. I can
create the problem with this operation too : changing display in time-
code, frames,
I have changed title (and diagnostic) ... so I can change status from
invalid to some thing else.
