However, if someone specifically installs the xfce4-terminal to use under a different desktop environment besides xfce4, would they not be competent enough to enable it in the menu themselves? Furthermore, wouldn't this argument apply to other software that takes advantage of the OnlyshowIn field?

I have installed both Gnome and Xfce on this system, and there are two "terminal" menu items in Applications->Accessories. It looks like a mistake - the only difference is that they use slightly different icons. So this is something I need to fix whenever setting up a machine with this configuratio
