Can you check to see if the openoffice.org 3.0 in the openoffice-pkgs
ppa fixes the issue for you. I think it should have fixed the problem.
If so then this will be fixed in Jaunty as well once openoffice.org 3.0
has finished building there.

To be clear, is this fixed in Jaunty? It certainly isn't in Intrepid.
And I find it hard to believe a problem with the file chooser has
anything to do with the kernel. Unless you mean the version of OOo that
fixes the bug happens to be incompatible with said kernel.

i believe that problem is a incompartivility whit a old kernel version.
