Looks like I've found out what's going on.
Basically, the colour of the graph and its background are linked to
colours in the current theme. Looking at the "Colours" tab in the
"Customize Theme" box from the Appearance preferences, it seems that the
graph itself is set to the "Windows" colour, whi
