It was a _fresh_ _default_ install with only fresh KDE4.0.0 installed,
no earlier added packages, especially no betas nor rc packages.
Deleting .kde4 did not help, the problem persists. Now I installed
kpersonalizer, and got the following .xsession-errors:
Xsession: X session started for mjp at t
If you have tried the old Beta or RC packages please try starting with a
fresh ~/.kde4

After apt-get update and apt-get upgrade I tried KDE4 again. No change,
KDE 4.0 still crashes.
