The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
1) If you are comfortable
This is happening to me in 8.04, kernel image 2.6.24-16 generic, seems
to be solved with hpet=disable. It is with a Samsung r20 laptop. Let me
know if you want any more info or to test something.

No change for me in 2.6.24-12 or -13. This also happens on a clean boot,
not just after suspend/hibernate.
Regarding the other bug, I have never had a boot hang on this machine
with a 2.6.24 kernel. The problem only appears after X has started. But
this is HPET related. Booting with "hpet=disable"
Fil, can you confirm this:
With latest kernel from Hardy, this bug only affects the system after
suspend/hibernate. It is not happening on "first boot".
Should I attach any file? Make any test?
