I installed the mainline kernel
$ uname -r
4.18.0-041800rc1-generic
Note: I can't login back to the default kernel that came with Ubuntu 18.0.4 TLS
(Notice I updated the OS once)

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.17 kernel[0].
