As I said above, I could not reproduce it. If you're still experiencing
it, perhaps I am not taking the right steps to reproduce what you're
trying to do. Please create a set of steps that I can take to reproduce
this, given an entirely brand new partition table.

I can't reproduce this. I have selected and changed the value of the
mount point to so many different things and no matter if I hit enter or
OK, or hit tab first or not, it still results in the appropriate mount
point being shown in the mount point column.
