Xubuntu 8.04 with Synaptic 0.61ubuntu9. The window that pops up and installs a package that has just been downloaded steals the focus--this is quite useless really as this window doesn't need any interaction. Synaptic does not only steal focus... it will actually switch the user from one workspace to another! I think this is a relatively new development. I don't remember this happening when I first started using the system a few months ago. It only started since about 1 month or so. -- synaptic dialo
