Following the following three steps, Steam launches now from Show
Applications list in gnome.
/usr/bin/steam --reset
find ~/.local/share/Steam/ \( -name "libgcc_s.so*" -o -name "libstdc++.so*" \)
-print -delete
~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam
