Personally, I think lack of IDN support is a security feature.

Binary package hint: bind9
Neither nslookup or host supports IDN. If you try , for example, to get
the IP for "registrera-domän.se" it fails every time. As the use of IDN
is increasing I think it would be a good thing if these tools supported
this.
